Albertans looking to experience live Indigenous song and dance this fall can come to Red Deer on October 24, 2026 for Powwow Dance Championships #2.
Powwow champions take centre stage
Across the powwow trail are accomplished dancers and singers whose names are celebrated within powwow communities but may be unfamiliar to the wider public. PDC #2 puts those competitors centre stage so audiences can learn who they are and watch elite dance up close.
Live championship-calibre singing
Bullhorn Singers of Kainai Nation are confirmed for the event, bringing powerful live powwow singing into a show built around one-on-one competition and the energy of the drum.
A Central Alberta destination
With Red Deer between Calgary and Edmonton, PDC #2 is positioned as a Central Alberta destination for local families and visitors making the trip from either major city.
