RES 2027 is beginning to reveal a much deeper education program for the March 8–11 Reservation Economic Summit at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. NCAIED says the full program will offer a minimum of 20 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, with many breakout sessions eligible for credit.
RES 2027 Agenda: What Has Been Confirmed
NCAIED’s continuing-education page now outlines a broad set of session themes covering Tribal finance, federal contracting, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, workforce management, grants, investment and economic development.
The final agenda can still change, so attendees should verify individual session times and speakers through the official RES agenda before making plans.
RES 2027 CPE Credits
- Minimum available: 20 CPE credits across the full program.
- Eligible sessions: many breakout sessions are expected to qualify.
- Credit structure: NCAIED says a 50-minute eligible session is worth one credit.
- Attendance tracking: attendees must have their badge scanned and follow the event’s sign-in requirements.

NCAIED is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy as a sponsor of continuing professional education. Individual state boards retain authority over acceptance of CPE credit.
Major RES 2027 Session Themes
Tribal Financial Sovereignty
One confirmed learning objective focuses on Native-owned and Native-governed financial systems, including Tribal banks, inter-Tribal investment structures, revolving loan funds, sovereign wealth initiatives, treasury management and ways to keep more capital circulating within Native communities.
Federal Contracting and FAR Changes
RES programming will also address changes in federal acquisition policy affecting Native-owned contractors, including implications for 8(a) and tribally owned enterprises, compliance requirements and the changing federal procurement environment.
CMMC Cybersecurity Compliance
A government-contracting session will cover Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, NIST 800-171 requirements, audit expectations and practical steps contractors can take to remain compliant and competitive.
Artificial Intelligence and Indigenous Data Sovereignty
NCAIED has confirmed a panel examining AI in Indian Country, including AI literacy, Indigenous-led innovation, environmental impacts, data-sovereignty protections and Tribal governance.
Tribal Trade, Economic and Digital Zones
Another session will examine Tribes developing foreign-trade, economic and digital zones, with discussion of sovereign trade zones, treaty rights, international commerce, logistics and nation-to-nation or Tribe-to-Tribe partnerships.
Infrastructure and Energy Financing
Sessions will examine financing for Tribal infrastructure such as broadband, energy, housing and transportation, as well as project structures that may combine tax credits, federal grants, loans, private debt, tax equity and other funding sources.
Native CDFIs, Microfinance and Access to Capital
The program includes material on Native CDFIs, rural micro-capital, consumer and commercial lending, real-estate and agricultural lending, and financing approaches designed around the realities of Indian Country.
Joint Ventures and Strategic Partnerships
RES 2027 will also include practical discussion about joint ventures: structuring partnerships, managing risk, aligning goals and knowing when a partnership is no longer working.
Workforce, HR and Legal Risk
Confirmed learning objectives include fragmented HR systems, employee retention, compliance, Service Contract Act requirements, workforce legal risk and mitigation strategies for tribally owned entities.
Grants, Feasibility and Business Planning
Other workshops will address grant readiness, funding solicitations, budgets, implementation planning, feasibility studies, market demand, financial viability and operational risk.
Indigenous Impact Investing and Philanthropy
The agenda also reaches into Indigenous-led impact investing and Tribal philanthropy, including approaches that connect capital with sovereignty, community outcomes, cultural values and long-term economic development.
