Buy Native Business Matchmaking is one of the most commercially important parts of RES 2027 for eligible Native-owned businesses. NCAIED’s program creates scheduled one-on-one opportunities to present products and services to government purchasing officials, prime contractors and private-sector corporations.
RES 2027 Buy Native: Quick Facts
- Date: Monday, March 8, 2027
- Hours: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Event: RES 2027, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas
- Who participates: registered buyers and sellers; NCAIED specifically describes opportunities for qualified American Indian-owned businesses.
- Important: registering for matchmaking does not guarantee a buyer meeting.
What Is Buy Native Business Matchmaking?
The program is designed to put Native businesses directly in front of organizations that purchase goods and services. NCAIED lists federal, state and local government buyers, prime contractors and Fortune 500/private-sector corporations among the potential buyer groups.
How to Prepare for a Buyer Meeting
- Research the buyer before the meeting.
- Know exactly which product or service you want to discuss.
- Prepare a one-page capability statement.
- Lead with relevant experience and capacity rather than a long company history.
- Know your geographic service area and delivery limitations.
- Prepare two or three useful questions for the buyer.
- End with a specific next step.
What Should Be on a Capability Statement?
Include a clear company description, core capabilities, relevant past performance, differentiators, contact information and procurement identifiers or certifications that genuinely apply to your business. Keep it easy to scan.
Don’t Treat Matchmaking Like a Sales Pitch Marathon
A useful buyer conversation is also qualification. Find out what the organization purchases, how vendors enter its procurement system, upcoming needs, required qualifications and the appropriate next contact. A meeting that gives you the right procurement path can be valuable even without an immediate contract.
Indigenous-to-Indigenous Matchmaking
RES also lists Indigenous-to-Indigenous Business Matchmaking for March 9, 2027 from 1:00–5:00 p.m., designed around international trade contacts, exports and partnerships. That is particularly relevant to Indigenous companies interested in cross-border opportunities.
