How the head-to-head dance battles work
Powwow Dance Championships places two dancers on the stage at a time. Regular battles use three songs, while featured title battles use five. Three judges score each song independently using a 10-point must system, and the dancer who wins a majority of the final judges’ scorecards wins the battle. A result may be a unanimous decision, a split decision or a technical defeat if a dancer cannot continue.
