This highly anticipated event is set to take place at the Treasure Island Resort & Casino Island Event Center in Welch, Minnesota.
With Grand Entries on Friday at 7 PM, Saturday at 1 & 7 PM, and Sunday at 1 PM, you’ll witness the beautiful regalia, traditional dances, and cultural pride that make powwows such a unique and powerful experience.
What to Expect at the Waniyetu Wacipi
Dance Competitions
Dancers of all ages and categories will compete for impressive prize money:
• Tiny Tots & Juniors (0–12 years): Day money
• Teens (13–17 years): Up to $400 for first place
• Adults (18–54 years): First place prizes as high as $1,000
• Golden Age (55–69 years) & Elders (70+ years): First-place winners take home $1,000!
