The Facebook Page Quarantine Dance Specials have been helping to keep the dancers dancing. They created a space where people can still have dance specials and honour those who want to be apart of it through online dance competitions.

Many men’s fancy dancers laced up their bustles, they put on their regalia, and recorded their video of them dancing.
A few of those videos ended up being crazy badass.

In this video we have some champion men’s fancy dancers. We have Kyle Youngpine who is from Blood Reserve in Southern Alberta. We have Gary Olney from Yakima Washington. We also have Kenneth Shirley from Arizona.
Fancy dancing is one of the toughest things you can do. The extra weight that you carry plus having to dance at speed’s so fast it will light your feet on fire, is a challenge.
We are waiting to find out when Powwow’s will be up and running again, but just hope that virus that is keeping us at home is going to pass.
But in the meantime is good to have people who are still finding ways to entertain us all during this time. A lot of the creative people are doing what they can to still sing songs, dance to music, create art, and more.
