In the humble city of Red Deer Alberta, the Red Deer Polytechnic college hosted and worked with Red Deer Aboriginal Dance Troupe to develop a new and out of this world experience. This was a unique dive into a different kind of indigenous art that mixed in with modern day technologies.
This required inviting youth to the college and the RDADT (Red Deer Aboriginal Dance Troupe) worked together and develop a fun, new way of learning the art of powwows and education. For short, Red Deer Polytechnic hosted a robotics workshop and created small robots at artificial dancers that would join the indigenous community as they taught songs and dance.
This was a very fun experience to learn and witness first hand as it was a good way to see the progress of how technology is developing. This made a huge thought process of how technology can be utilized like this because of how advanced the idea was and how it can be use to celebrate indigenous culture.
For readers ahead, this is just thoughts and well as my own opinions of how it can be interpreted as a new way of expressing indigenous education. I would like to recognize the value and how it can be used to press forward into creating bonds with other colleges and indigenous communities to create institutions regarding this.

The Experience
Red Deer Polytechnic has a wicked learning facility that branches off into many different areas where young adults and older people to learn and obtain higher education. However, they are also flexible when it comes to hosting events that regard to indigenous culture.
When the robotic powwow was first introduced, it was wonderful to see indigenous and non-indigenous youth alike creating artificial dancers using the robotics that was supplied by the college. It was lovely to see two different worlds colliding into each other and creating something beyond this world, and learning how to assemble robotic parts together and using them to mimic dance.
Although this was new, it was mesmerizing experience to watch and take part of. There was a lot of excitement ass both indigenous education was being taught as well as the teaching of modern day technologies. Seeing that people and spectators alike that enjoyed watching as the youth created a cool atmosphere where tiny robots dance with the dancers.
Everyone enjoyed it as well as the Dance Troupe, they was food provided and everyone had gotten to taste indigenous cuisine such as fried bread and learn a small spect about what are the background of dancing.
The Impact
After the entirety of the show was over, this specific thing has got me thinking. Technology is not going to stop its evolution, however it has brought this new heights of teaching and how it can create binds between two entirely different worlds. Im sure there is a vast amount of knowledge and research that can help people to discover a new joy that was brought to me and this got me thinking that it was time to explore.
For benefits regarding technology, there is a whole other avenue of how technology can help us move forward, especially with indigenous culture. And the examples provided, Im sure there is other that may agree to the information that is going to be provided.
Development
In this era, technology today is a very beneficial tool that makes the difficulty of life very much less daunting. There are now Ai that helps with writing and solving answers to questions that are deemed as hard. There is also technology that hold knowledge that is endless if you want to explore beyond what is outside your house.
Technology has brought us closer together and has built cities and communities alike. However, in an indigenous society technology has becomes increasingly important regarding our progress into preserving our culture.
In this modern day, language can now be recorded and saved into files and can be sent out into other communities where language is needed and taught. It can also be used to teach non-indigenous people our ways and ideas that we hold for centuries, such as history of the tipis, animals, and lodges.
For these reason I believe that with enough dedication and passion for technology today, It can also help with the growth of indigenous and revitalizing Indigenous communities back into what it once was. This can be important to the culture that North America holds and it can be a key to creating a sustainable environment for the future generations yet to come.
The Idea
Im sure that everyone is aware that actions like this are already happening, Cree programs are being made and taught online as a use for preserving the language. Many videos and instructions can be searched for the purpose of learning indigenous ways of teaching. There is many ways to go about from this and beyond reason, there is also ways to improve the knowledge boost and help indigenous communities to get hold of this advantage.
However, the influence must expand throughout the entirety of indigenous communities. They need to take advantage to create more opportunities such as this one, other tribes and communities such as Blackfoot, Métis can also create vast amounts of knowledge though technology. It’s time that this become a part of teaching and expanding our culture through the joy of technology.
This is avGood start to introduce new institutions of how both the indigenous culture can evolve and create new learning curves that can boost learning throughout indigenous communities.
Conclusion
Though this is a short one, it has meaning to boost someone’s knowledge and ones who dwindle in technology, it boost their ability to implement their skills into indigenous culture. It is important that we take hold of this, technology will only get better and easier and if we start now then preserving indigenous culture would be ten times more successful.
I hope that this take into more consideration and given some thought into it. As the world keeps evolving, I think that its time that we use what is being made, this can really improve the quality and revitalization for indigenous culture.
