Powwow Times International Dance Troupe has a wide range of dancers and recently had the opportunity to travel to Paris, France to help promote Indigenous Tourism in Alberta Canada.

Indigenous Tourism is exploding in Canada and when people travel to Alberta, 2 out 3 visitors want an Indigenous experience.

Powwow Times has a wide range of World Champion dancers to fit any schedule or performance options. The group travelled with WestJet as a carrier and spent 5 days in Paris.

The performance where Powwow Times dancers performed was at the Canadian France Ambassadors Palace. It was this huge luxurious place where a bunch of travel industry in the area gathered. Powwow Times Dancers were featured for a 15 minute performance along with some great education about the dance styles, Wild West show that came to Paris in the 1800s, the Mêtis which was a nation created by relationships between Cree and French, and more.

It was a great experience for the Powwow Times International Dance Troupe to expand Internationally and to do an amazing performance for the people in France.

Here are some pictures from the Travels to Paris from the Powwow Times International Dance Troupe.

There was a lot of strikes going on in Paris when we were there. A lot of the garbage was piling up in the city. People were setting fires and it was a crazy time to be there.
