Today on March 26th is the new season of Canada’s Got Talent was aired, and something really extraordinary happened on this very special night. Rebecca Strong, an Indigenous woman from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, is a singer who made a stunning singing performance in tonight’s show.
Rebecca Strong has always had the love for singing that started at the young age of five years old, she performed locally around her area and has already proved that she has a stunning voice for singing. For Rebecca, The audition for Canada’s Got Talent, all started when Rebecca submitted cover songs that she sang over her career of singing. It wasn’t long for Rebecca to receive a call and have an amazing opportunity to make history once again for indigenous artists.
And then she did! Rebecca put on a stunning performance, winning the golden buzzer by Lilly Singh’s, a Canadian YouTuber, Television Host and Comedian. This moment changed everything for Rebecca, it was very emotional moment for as the moment that golden button was push, it became that her singing career was a reality for her.
